My view on Modesty/ Skirts

Hey everyone! So today, I am going to share with you my view on modesty and a few of my skirts I wear!
So modesty is very important in my family. For example, no tank tops or skirts above your knees. We enjoy making our own skirts and some of our pajamas. (I have an Etsy shop interview coming up soon! She sells cute clothing for toddlers, so keep a look out for that! ;))
So here's my first skirt: (Please excuse the fact that some of these photos are blurry...that's what happens when you take pictures with your phone :))

This is one of my favourite skirts. If I remember correctly, I got it from Old Navy's clearance shelf.
It's really cool though, because like a year ago I realized it was on a cover of a book:

:)

I really like this skirt too. It's a little blurry, so I'll try to post another picture of it another time.
I like all the different colours. :)

This one is one of my favourite skirts too.
It reminds me of the night sky. :)

So did you guys enjoy this post? If you guys like it I'm thinking about posting some more of my outfits :)
What are your guys' views on modesty?
Have a great day!!!

  1. Hi Katie!

I wear long skirts or dresses. I think that tight skirts and tight dresses are not modest. I think that if a skirt or a dress is made of thin fabric, it is needful to wear also an underskirt in order to hide the shape of the legs.

I think it is important to hide the shape of the breasts. One year ago I began to wear a shawl.   The shawl which I made is a 59 inches  X 59 inches cloth , which I fold to make a triangle [or actually it is not a triangle, because   I don't fold it from the middle, but upper than middle]. The shawl which I wear also hides the shape of the bottom.

I think that some girls and women think that they dress modestly, while they dress inmodestly. It is sad. If I would be a woman who dresses inmodestly, I would be terrified about the condemnation on the judgment day.

and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what is the will of elohim -- the good, and acceptable, and perfect

    Romans 12:2

and they shall come forth; those who did the good things to a rising again of life, and those who committed the bad things to a rising again of judgment

    John 5:29

'Not every one who is saying to me lord, lord, shall come into the kingdom of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my father who is in the heavens.

    Matt. 7:21

for, the son of man is about to come in the honor of his father, with his messengers, and then he will reward each, according to his work.

    Matt. 16:27

for all of us it behoveth to be manifested before the tribunal of the messiah, that each one may receive the things [done] through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or bad

    2.Cr. 5:10

Little children, let no one lead you astray; he who is doing the righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous

    1.John 3:7

so that, my beloved, as you always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling your own deliverance work out,

    Phl 2:12

for by grace you are having been delivered, through faith, and this not of you -- of elohim the gift,
not of works, that no one may boast; for of him we are workmanship, created in messiah Jesus to good works, which elohim did before prepare, that in them we may walk.

    Eph. 2:8-10

and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before elohim, and scrolls were opened, and another scroll was opened, which is that of the life, and the dead were judged out of the things written in the scrolls -- according to their works

    Rev. 20:12

and become you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves

    James 1:22

    sincerely, Miriam
