My Christmas Decorations
Hey everyone! I hope you guys have had a wonderful Christmas! I've taken a small break, as you guys know, to celebrate and spend time with my family. Even though I'm sharing them a day late, I hope you like our Christmas decorations!
Before I get started, I would like to answer a reader's question: What is a Jesse tree? Well, Clara, sadly we did not get to do a Jesse tree this year due to all the illness in my family this December, but I'll include this link and hopefully it'll paint a clear picture in your mind of what a Jesse tree is. :) I'm hoping to make one next year!

Now on to the decorations!

Now on to the decorations!
This is a delicious snack I had last week. Mmm...it was so good!
I even put gingerbread marshmallows in my hot cocoa. ;)
Our first Christmas tree. We put our Christmas trees in the schoolroom, so our cats aren't let in that room during the holiday season. They have a tendency to climb in it and chew on the branches. :P
This is our family Christmas tree. Each of us get a new ornament every year for Christmas.
This year I got Merida. (A Disney princess from the movie Brave)
Outside decorations
Our gingerbread houses. The one in the front on the right is mine.
Here are more Christmas decorations outside.
And here's how it looks from the road. This is a pretty bad picture. :P
They all look yellow, but they're colourful as you can see in the individual pictures. :)
My bed with a few of my Christmas things. I love that Vanilla Noel lotion from Bath and body works! :)
Our ninja bread cookies! They were really fun to make. :)
The side with the E on the top of the wrap are my sister Emma's cookies she decorated, and the side with D are the ones my brother Drake decorated.
All the ones on this pan are mine except for the 3 in a row in the middle. Those are Drake's.
Quite a few of mine turned out to look a little like maniacs. Haha. :)
Well, I hope you guys have a beautifully blessed day!
And I will do better about keeping up with blogging, we do have 4 birthdays coming up in the next 2 months though, one of them being mine!! :)
I'll be 15!

My Life 2//Nature Pictures!
Hey everyone!
Sorry, I haven't been around lately. Crazy things have been going on around our house!
I'm getting over a cold, and so is most of my family. And our pipes had to be dug up in front of the house because a tree root had grown into the pipes, so...yeah. We couldn't flush the toilet, and run any other sort of water in the house (washer machine, dish washer, shower, etc.) so that was no fun. Luckily it's all over. The dirt everywhere from where they dug up the pipes isn't so pretty with our christmas decorations though. :/
So to good news! We got our christmas trees up! Yay! I'll have to post a picture of them soon. Maybe I'll do a post of our christmas decorations....
So this is why I haven't posted lately. Haha.
I'll be having a couple of tags, and some christmas posts up soon though. ;)
Now here are some nature pictures for your viewing pleasure:
Purple's my favourite colour. :)

Book Review: Chia Vitality
Hey everyone! So today I have a book review to share with you guys.
The book is called Chia Vitality and it's by Janie Hoffman (Founder and CEO of Mamma Chia).
This book is all about the Chia seed. I liked this book overall. It had a few good recipes inside it that I would like to try using the chia seed. :) Some things included in this book are: flexible meal plans using chia seeds, yoga routines, and meditation course. It tells you everything you need to know about the chia seed: where to buy it, how to store it, and how to use chia seeds in cooking. I recommend this book to anyone who's interested in getting a healthier diet. Overall, I would give this book 4 stars. :)
If you haven't ever tried a chia seed, you definitely should. You don't actually really taste them, and they can be added to pretty much anything, smoothies, soup, salad! :)
If you're interested in purchasing this book you can buy them here:
Books A Million
Amazon
Wal-Mart
Barnes and Noble
I hope you all have a great day everyone!

My Life 1
Hey everyone!
So I realized the other day, I haven't really told you what I've been up to lately, and I think now is a good time to start!
I have been incredibly busy lately! School, books, puppy preparation, shopping, American Heritage Girls, P.E class, so many things.
So last Sunday we decided to get a puppy! Now, this was not planned at all, but when we saw her video on the shelter's facebook page we just fell in love with her!! We have 2 cats, and one of them is very protective over his territory...so yeah, it's going to take some getting use to for him. Here's a picture of her:
She is growing SO fast. It's crazy! I can tell a difference in her size in just a week's time. She's a labrador retriever mix and she's suppose to grow really quickly. :/
I'm so excited though! All they have to do is spay her before we can take her home! And they're hoping to fit her in tomorrow! :D
So for American Heritage Girls (it's kind of a Christian version of 4H) we're suppose to take in a 2 layer cake this Tuesday to decorate. So me and my siblings (I have on younger sister, and one younger brother) are all going over to one of my best friends house and I'm going to make a cake with her and my siblings are going to hang out with her siblings! So much fun! :)
I love going over to her house. I always have so much fun with her!
So I guess I best get going!
Have a blessed Sabbath everyone!
~Katie
P.S
Does anyone like the idea of me doing a Christmas series of sorts (pictures, stories, crafts, things like that) ? I would probably start it this sometime in December. ;)

So here's what I'm suppose to do:
1. Thank the person who nominated me, and provide a link to their blog. Did that!
2. Give a brief story on how I started my blog, and a one or two tips for other bloggers. :)
3. Choose 15 other bloggers to nominate for this award.
4. And comment on each of their blogs to let them know I nominated them!
Here it goes:
Why I decided to start a blog:
I started my blog because I really wanted to spread the Word of God, and inspire and encourage other girls. I had been reading a couple of other blogs, and I realized, I wanted to start my own. This is all happened in a span of a day! I just woke up, and felt the calling to start my blog. By the end of the day, my blog was created, I had my first post, and even my first comment! :) I was so excited! ;)
I really want to encourage other girls through this blog with inspiring Bible verses and stories, and get to know other wonderful girls who also blog. :)
Some advice ;) :
My advice is just be yourself when blogging. My recent post I did is called 13 random facts about me. I enjoyed doing this post because my readers got to know me better. It's sometimes hard to tell a person's personality when you're reading their blog, if they're not being who they truly are. :) Like I said, I'm really weird, silly, and clumsy. I like sharing little bits of random things about myself so my readers can get to know me better. I love it when other bloggers do posts about random facts about themselves! :)
Another piece of advice: I personally prefer to respond to my readers comments. Not everyone has time to do that though. :) I like letting them know I read their comments, and really appreciate each and everyone one. Comments always make me smile. :)
So I nominate for this award:
1. Jessica Joy from (Almost) Perfectly Pink
2. Libby from A Noble Calling
3. Brooke from Blooming in his Light
4. Clare from Clare's Spot
5. Kara from Cooking with Kara
6. Bree from Cover Up for Christ
7. Olivia from Fresh Modesty
8. ? From Gentle Joy Photography
9. Emily from Ooh! La la! Cakery
10. Christina from Our Wood Home
11. Clara from Reasons to Smile
12. Mikayla from The Bubblegum Ballerina
13. Stephanie from The Enchanting Rose
14. ? from Wholesome Joy Photography
15. and Julia from Writing for His Glory
I can't wait to see all of your guys posts (assuming you're interested, of couse :))!
P.S I've been nominated for another award too, so be expecting that sometime soon! :)
Have a great day!
~Katie
